Dr. Shanta Vaidya Memorial Foundation

Dr. Shanta Vaidya Memorial Foundation works with children who have a difficulty in reading, writing and math, in spite of having average to above average intelligence & adequate opportunities to learn. This condition is popularly known as Specific Learning Disability or Dyslexia.

Learning Disability/Dylexia

Dyslexia is a learning disorder in which children have difficulty in learning to read and write despite having average or above average intelligence and an adequate opportunity to learn.

Our Approach

Disability or Difficulty
The Foundation believes that Specific Learning Difficulty is not a ‘Disability’ but a ‘Difficulty’.
We also believe that focusing on the abilities of the child, instead of learning difficulties and creating opportunities and an enabling learning environment for the child can make a huge difference in these children’s lives.

Our Programme

The Foundation has a designed a unique Ability Enhancement Program for the children, wherein we work with the parents, the teachers and the children themselves concentrating on their abilities and helping them overcome their difficulties.

Our Team

We are a team of dedicated professionals who felt the need to create a unique integrated approach for children who have learning difficulties, involving all stakeholders so that these children can lead a life of dignity and happiness.
