We are a team of dedicated professionals who felt the need to create a unique integrated approach for children who have learning difficulties, involving all stakeholders so that these children can lead a life of dignity and happiness.
We draw our inspiration from Dr. Shanta Vaidya who recognized the need for having a different teaching learning approach for children who lag behind academically. Dr. Shanta Vaidya was a PhD in Psychology from the London University (U.K.), 1955.
She took the initiative to start a special unit in King George School in Dadar, Mumbai for children with Learning Difficulties in the early seventies. She also was a founder of Pragati Kendra, Mumbai—a center for mentally challenged children.
Inspired by her & in her memory we started the Dr. Shanta Vaidya Memorial Foundation in 2011.
